Sr Fraud Strategist

Flexiti is looking for a Sr Fraud Strategist to join the Risk team. Reporting to the Director, Acquisition and Fraud, the Fraud Strategist will leverage data and analytics to develop and implement fraud risk mitigation strategies for Flexiti’s private label credit card portfolio. These strategies will be applied at acquisition and transaction to minimize fraud losses and optimize operational costs while ensuring a strong customer experience.  This position requires high attention to detail, sound judgment in the execution of fraud strategies, superior analytical skills and exceptional communication skills.


What you will be doing:

The strategist will be responsible for day-to-day fraud performance tracking and adjustment according to the fraud trend evolving. Maintaining business-as-usual reports and summaries to stakeholders. He/she will also conduct ad-hoc analysis independently and provide fraud mitigation insights to fraud leadership and business partners. When needed, the strategist will also support major fraud mitigation initiatives in collaboration with various partners.

What you should have:

  • 2+ years of experience in developing fraud mitigation strategies for unsecured lending products
  • Solid knowledge of financial services industry and consumer credit products
  • Experience using SQL (or similar tools such as SAS, Python or R) to extract and validate data, and conduct quantitative analytical tasks.
  • Develop, execute and monitor fraud strategies for credit originations and transactions
  • Support fraud strategies through improved procedures and policies
  • Identify and escalate material fraud risks and trends
  • Produce actionable business insights through the analysis of large amounts of data
  • Collaborate with partners and vendors on initiative requirements and solution design
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
